1, Only members of SPS/ Day ticket holders and close family members are allowed on society property. Close family is restricted to married couples, partners and family members children up to the age of 16 years. After this they will need a membership or permission from the committee.
2, Members taking a guest must in advance obtain a valid permit and must accompany the guest on SPS property at all times.
3, Any member given dispensation to take a companion to SPS waters for safety or medical reasons cannot take the companion if a SPS member also accompanies them. Unless the companion has a Day permit if he wishes to fish. If the companion does not fish he can accompany the member.
4, Any member taking a guest or family member is responsible for their conduct not breaching SPS rules.
5, Fishing at Bramley is year round. Longwood is River Seasonal.
6, A member must have in his possession a valid membership book that must be shown to any bailiff or SPS member on request.
7, No littering at all. This is a dismissable offence
8, No unused bait to be left on the bank( this is to deter vermin and waterfowl)
9, All gates must be closed and locked unless in use for access.
10, Official car parks must be used at all times unless unloading tackle.
11, Members must not fish or visit a sps venue if it has been reserved for an official SPS match whilst the match is in progress.
12No Dogs allowed unless by prior permission or has a bailiff attached to it.
13, No radios or phones that can distirb adjacent anglers.
14.All fish to be returned to the water including Pike and Eels.
15, Members must conduct themselves in a civilised manner, They must not use foul or abusive language or cause annoyance to and/ or intimidate fellow anglers plus local residents or the public not on SPS land. This will instantly result in your membership being revolked.
16, Rods must not be left unnatended with a baited hook in the water, Baitrunner reels are included in this rule.
17, Fishing is dawn to dusk only.
18, Only one rod or pole to be used at any time. Spare set up tackle must be visibly away from the water.
19, No stones to be used to weigh down keepnets.
20, No camping, fires or BBQ’s on SPS property.
21, Anyone fishing SPS water must be in possession of a valid Environment Agency Coarse Fishing License.
22, No braided line at all.
23, Any member seeing evidence of Poaching must inform the committee or bailiffs at the first opportunity.
BRAMLEY POND ADDITIONAL RULES.
A, See rule 18 and designated pegs only can be used.
B, No closed season at this venue.
C, No Cat/Dog Meat, Bloodworm, Jokers, Floating baits in any form. Please use allowed feed bait responsibly.
D, No stalking , Anglers must fish designated pegs and must move all their tackle to another peg if the want to swap pegs.
E, Keepnets are allowed all year round. Two nets are needed one for Carp and One for silvers. All nets including landing nets must be dipped and rinsed. Preferably air dried.
F, All fish must be carefully handled, unhooked and returned to the water.
G, All hooks must be Barbless and maximum size of 10.
H, No fishing beyond pegs 1 and 37 this is a reserve for wildlife and fish refuge.
There is Deep water no swimming is allowed, Cars are on site at your own risk. All tackle is at your own risk. The society accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damage howsoever caused. Ice on the water in winter will not support Human Beings , DO NOT go skating. Overhead power lines are present although at great height 9 meters is the minimum distance to avoid arcing, If you’re thinking about pointing a 16 meter pole in the air beneath them then I will add you to the fallen anglers page and put you in for a Darwin award.
