All Matches at Bramley Pond on Sunday’s
All matches to be fished at Bramley Pond & all will be on Sunday’s . Remember Bramley is closed to pleasure anglers on these dates so please take note of dates so you don’t go when the pond is closed .
Any member wishing to take part should turn up for the first match . The draw for all matches will be 9-00 am on the bank
GENERAL MATCH INFORMATION
Winter League
To participate in a Sunday match at Bramley Pond contact the match secretary or just show up on the day. To participate in a Thursday match please contact the match secretary, this is due to limited spaces. He can still probably get you on a Thursday if you give him enough time.
Prices are £10.00 which includes pegging fees .
PLEASE NOTE… THURSDAY MATCHES
DUE TO INCREASED NUMBERS IF YOU HAVE PUT DOWN TO FISH A THURSDAY MATCH AND CANNOT ATTEND YOU NEED TO GIVE AT LEAST 7 DAYS NOTICE OR YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED THE £10 . THIS IS TO GIVE US A CHANCE TO PHONE AROUND OTHER MEMBERS WHO WANTED TO GO BUT PLACES WERE UNAVAILABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS. It is highly recommended that you take a minimum of two nets to all commercial waters to separate silvers from carp or for weight limits .
Please note prizes are also awarded for biggest Barbel- 7lb+, Bream- 5lb+,Carp- 10lb+, Chub- 4lb+, Perch- 3lb+, Roach- 1lb 4oz +and Tench- 4lb+.
FOR ALL SUMMER AND WINTER MATCHES AT BRAMLEY, THE POND WILL BE CLOSED FOR PLEASURE FISHING UNTIL THE END OF THE MATCH.
MATCH FISHING RULES
The Society’s rules for its matches can be found in your handbook beginning on page 69 under the heading Bylaw No. 4. Please ensure you read and understand the rules. Ignorance of a rule will not be accepted as a plea should anyone be caught breaking one.
When visiting other waters the onus will be on the Angler to ensure he does not break any additional rules imposed by the fishery owner
New points system
1st receives 10 points down to 7th who receives 4 points all others receive 2 points any angler leaving early and not weighing in receives 0 points , if you just have not caught anything you still get 2 points so don’t go home . All anglers fishing all 14 matches will have their worst match deducted from the score sheet to compensate for holidays. This is to make the Victor-Ledorum cup fairer.
